Casita Azul is a updated 1940's era cottage which includes a living room, kitchen, sun room, laundry room, master with en-suite bathroom, two guest rooms and a second bathroom. The master bedroom features a king size bed. The first guest room has two super comfy twin beds. The second guest room contains a very plush queen bed and a bunk bed. We are leaving 48 hours between guests and thoroughly disinfecting our private cottage. Our cottage sleeps 8 people comfortably. The sun room boasts wall of windows that overlook the bay. Sit in our antique glider rocker and enjoy the relaxing water view. The fenced backyard features a pool and fire pit. We have an expansive front deck that is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. Minutes from Houston and Kemah, it offers a convenient beach getaway. The soothing coastal color pallet and decor relax you immediately. A sandy beach and fishing pier are across the street! Our bedding may vary from what is shown in the pictures due to rotating sets between guests for sanitizing purposes. Sylvan Beach Park is directly across the street with amenities such as beach access, a pay for fishing pier, a playground, a skate park, and a public boat launch. Bring your boat and your can launch it into the bay across the street. There is a hike and bike network of trails in La Porte as well. We are pet friendly! There is a wave pool and golf course/driving range less than 2 miles away. The Kemah Waterfront, Space Center Houston, Armand Bayou Nature center, San Jacinto Monument, and Battle Ship Texas and the Houston Yacht Club are minutes away. The Houston Museum District and Houston Zoo are also a short drive away. On Main street in La Porte there are several antique shops and restaurants. There is so much to do! Whether you need a home base to explore what the bay area of the Texas Gulf Coast has to offer or you want a quiet house near the beach to relax with your family and friends, Casita Azul is your place! While enjoying the stunning bay views, you have access to the entire house which includes a full kitchen, living room, sun room, three bedrooms, two full bathrooms with showers, and a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer. There are two parking spaces on site. You can park three cars if you tandem park two of them on the left side of the driveway. Sylvan Beach park is a quiet neighborhood that enjoys a view of the bay. Bring your bicycle and enjoy riding through the quaint neighborhood. A hike and bike path is not far away which connects you to other parts of La Porte. There is a Kroger 1.5 miles down Fairmont Parkway. Within walking distance is the Sylvan Beach Grocery and Goodies Snack shop which has ice cream and shaved ice. If you love fabric and quilts, there is also a great quilt shop nearby! We are conveniently located off Hwy. 146 which connects to major roads such as Hwy 225, Interstate 10 or Interstate 45. Beltway 8 is also close! I am not on site, but live pretty close by. I am happy to answer questions, give recommendations, or tips via text or phone. We don't need to meet but, I can meet face to face if needed. I love to travel and explore. There are so many great things the La Porte area has to offer I'd love to share with you. We have a keyless entry system so you can self check in and check out. If you need a special check in or out please specify in your inquiry and I will do my best to accommodate your request as long as it does not conflict with another guest's reservation. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate groups over 8. Our beach cottage just cannot handle any more. We love pets, but we must limit the number of pets to two. I can offer a pack n' play, but it must be requested upon reservation.

It sleeps up to 12 people with 2 king, 2 queen, 4 twins and each bed features a Leesa mattresses for a comfortable nights rest on your vacation.  After a day at the beach, rinse off from the fun at the outdoor shower with hot and cold water. A full size washer/dryer to get everythingclean for the next round. There is a larger outdoor patio with a firepit that also has a cooking grate/grille. It's perfect forgrilling food during the day and sitting around in the evening.  Featuring 3 large smart tvs and fast WiFi. The main tv has a cable box with DVR for those sports fans. Upstairs is an Xbox One S for the gamers. All TVs can use the xfinity stream app to watch cable or other apps like Netflix or Disney+.   Galveston hosts several parades throughout the year and The Firefly Inn is only 1 block off from the most common parade route and is located in a prime area on the East End, near many fun attractions. - Only 4.5 short blocks to the beach at Seawall Blvd and the Historic Pleasure Pier. Stingaree restaurant and marina is across on the bay side and can see it from the front balcony. Picnic table, lighted bar with six stools, as well as 4 high back chairs for hanging out or grilling outdoors. Privacy wall between houses and the garage make for a nice private outdoor area. There is an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach to remove sand and too just enjoy an exilerating shower outdoors. Golf carts allowed. We are centrally located to The Big Store, Stingaree marina bar and grill, Hardheads bar and grill, Tiki grill, Jose's mexican restaurant, Steves landing, dollar general, water slides, putt putt golf and many other restaurants and shopping. We provide a charcoal grill to be used outdoors and NOT on the balconies, a built in cleaning/ prep stations downstairs, short walk or golf cart ride to the beach. Nautical Landing is located directly on the Seawall at the Dawn Condominiums on 69th Ave and Seawall Blvd. The Dawn Condominiums is a gated community with 2 resort style pools, hot tub, and complete fitness center. This gulf front unit has great ocean views and a wonderful balcony overlooking the gulf from the living and master bedroom. There are great views from the second bedroom of the lagoon style pool in the rear of the unit. Note - Our condo is directly on Seawall Boulevard right across from Babe's Beach and traffic can be loud when the island is busy. We do have noise reducing curtains and sound machines in the bedrooms to minimize any noise. We also provide FREE Wi-Fi. The 2021 Texas Freeze - Attention Guests: Due to the recent freeze here in Galveston, and the island is not used to 18 degrees and snow, we had several pipes break. Outside all of the plants around the home for the most part have died and will soon be replaced. We are sorry for the problems and hope you understand. UPDATE: Due to the Covid-19, extra steps are being taken to disinfect anything that can be touched in the home. An extra disinfectant should be found in the home when you arrive. Also, only 2 rolls of toilet paper will be supplied in each bathroom. If you need more please supply it. Totally remodeled 5 bedroom/3 bathrooms, sleeps 12 in beds and 2 on a brand new queen size sofa couch. Three bedrooms are upstairs. 1 King size master on-suite, with cable TV and a large jacuzzi tub, One bedroom with a queen-size bed with a full bathroom, Also a bedroom with 2 full-size bunk beds with gaming TV. Then downstairs, we have a bedroom with 2 queen beds and another bedroom with a queen-size bed, and a full-size bathroom. The living room has a sectional sofa, with additional chairs for plenty of seating. A 60" Smart HDTV. Great location! Only 4.5 blocks from the seawall and 1 mile from the strand. Beautiful pool for relaxing after a day at the beach. Please understand this pool is only 5 feet deep and it is NOT for diving and is not heated. There is plenty of deck space that is covered along with a ceiling fan for your comfort. A gas grill for your cooking pleasure and an outdoor table and chairs. For events, we do not allow more than 20 guests at the home, including the 14 who may stay overnight. Possible fees each will be charged at the time of booking or just after.
